Institute of Fine Arts

The Akdeniz University Institute of Fine Arts was established on July 11, 1992, by Law No. 3837. Our institute commenced its academic activities on October 18, 2007, with the transfer of the Painting and Graphic Arts Master's programs, previously established within the Institute of Social Sciences, to the Institute of Fine Arts. Within our institute, we offer Master's, Proficiency in Art, and Doctoral programs in Painting, Graphic Arts, Music, Art and Design, Ceramics, Carpet-Rug and Old Fabric Patterns, Cinema TV, Sculpture, Photography, Performing Arts, as well as Art Theories and Criticism, Textile and Fashion Design, and Music. Educational and research activities at our institute are conducted with the participation of more than 50 faculty members specializing in art and design.

Our institute provides postgraduate education opportunities in various fields of art and design to students who have graduated with a bachelor's degree from other universities. Our goal is to train creative, research-oriented, contemporary, knowledgeable, skilled, and socially conscious educators, researchers, artists, and designers.
