Fashion and Textile Design Department has started to accept undergraduate students as of the 2017-2018 academic year. In the department, which has an education program that includes clothing design, weaving, and printing-dye courses, education is supported by theoretical and practical courses on art and design such as art history, fashion history, and basic art education. With the four-year undergraduate education of the department, by raising creative, innovative and productive designers who will increase the art and design sensitivity of the society, to carry out education and artistic production at a universal level, to contribute to the transformation of knowledge into design, to meet the needs of the society in the fields of art, design and culture at a high level. is intended. To be a department that raises creative, innovative and productive designers who will increase the art and design sensitivity of the society with the education that the department will provide during its four-year undergraduate education. As of the 2020-2021 academic year, the name of the program was changed to "Textile and Fashion Design" due to the regulation made by YÖK.
After the undergraduate program, the graduate program was opened in the 2022-2023 academic year and started to accept students in the spring term.
